I am an musician and artist. My musical mainstays are Blues, Rock, and Country, Between the three I stay fairly busy recording and playing live performances. I have been playing since the 60's so I have had a rather lengthy career.
As an artist I seem to be mostly into FANTASY ART with side trips into MOOD and SURREAL ART. I use POSER, VUE, BRYCE, and CARARRA. Photoshop is my tool of choice as a post production tool, and rarely do any of my pieces escape from Photoshop untouched. Mixed media works intrigue and challenge me. I love to see pieces come together.

I wish you all the best for your retirement- from what my other half tells me its every bit as complicated this side of the atlantic as well. Now you have to fit in all those little jobs you have been deferring for the last twenty to thirty years!

Very nice imagery. I have been retired for almost 4 years now, and retirement is almost exactly like the rest of your life. . . "It is what you make it." Mine has been really pretty good so far. Hope you fare as well. Good to have you back in the galleries.

It gets easier. You learn the ins and outs of the retirement game and you can kick back and live by your own time clock instead of someone else's. Unless of course you live on a farm and have to be up a 6 to feed critters. (I love every minute of it....keeps us young).I love your depiction of "what Is"

Wonderfully arranged scene with a powerful character and pose.

Very strong imagery here. Our hero's head is bowed but he is not beaten. He is determined, yet humble, and ready for the next phase. I am not fooled by the cemetery behind him - this looks like a churchyard to me as he is a holy warrior. The gentle, strong hand welcomes him to a new phase, perhaps that of leadership or teaching. There's a lot to meditate on in this image.

You and me both, brother... I'm past the SS retirement age, but I'm ready to move into a slower pace of life. Of course all my retired friends and family say they're busier than when they were working.... :-O
This is a very powerful and moving render - many of us can identify with him, methinks.

Nice work and great symbolism !!!! I've been fully retired since October of 2014 (I worked part-time for a while, after retiring from GE in 2008). Once you're time becomes your own, you will wonder how you ever found the time to keep a job ! ! !

Fantastic scene and composition my friend... Wonderfully done !!!

Lovely imagery to convey your message. I have found the "Golden Years" are a bit tarnished as my body has begun to succumb to my youthful indiscretions.

Best of luck with your retirement plans. Great scene!
