Description
Captured way back on 3/4/08, early morning, about half a mile from home.
More properly called the Dietes Iridioies or the Dietes Vegeta White, you may know it as the Cape Iris, Fortnight Lily or just plain Wild Iris. There's even a yellow version with 3 purple spots that's affectionately called the Peacock Flower or the Butterfly Lily.

Anyway, don't see any of these around since the drought took hold. I'm glad I recorded so many flowers before it took permanent effect. Now it's nothing but nature's scorched earth policy.

A beautiful capture. I do hope you get rain soon to break your drought, but not all at once to cause floods. I will send you some of our gentle drizzle that we have got at the moment.![😄](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/emojione/assets/4.5/png/32/1f604.png)
