Description
My favorite leaf/leaves, captured 8/22/16 @ 8:19 am, somewhere within the vast confines of my condominium complex.
A ZOOM would be to your advantage.

They are such great leaves and I have tried and tried to grow them down here with no luck even though others in the neighborhood are growing them. Excellent capture.

I love cannas; have dozens of them in my yard. Some are variegated with stripes of red, you might really like those. Nice shot here; love the light!!

Your canna leaves shots join hands with several other of your leaf shots to make a big symphony of leaf, sun, shadow and translucence. Every one of them has been sterling. This is another example. This is striking for the almost pink-toned grayish sidewalk behind it (or driveway or parking lot, whatever that is). And the shadow cuts it in half, which works beautifully behind the leaves. And of course the play of light, translucence, shade and texture in the leaves themselves. They look almost like flame. And we can see the striations in the leaves beautifully here, as if they were stained glass. A beautiful portrait of form, light and contrast---with a few brilliant splashes of red from a couple of flowers (I think)---which look like floral jewels. More beautiful work in this fine series.
