And again an icon of the classic jetliner age. The Boeing 707 was the first commercial successful model. The 707 was the leading aircraft into the jet age. The model itself is gone a long time ago but its airframe lives further in the actual 737 models. The first aircraft benefiting of the 707 airframe was the 727 (I posted a Braniff picture in December last year).

Very nice. Next to the B-52 one of the longest running airplanes still in wide use.

I sure remember these. My first trip in one was late spring 1961. That was an experience, not having been in a jet before. Thanks for this series of jet airliners. Brings back old memories. Keep up the good work! :-)
