Description

A few days after my dad's death, my sister and I started a memorial spot where the accident happened. The investigation into the accident is still ongoing! A few days ago, about 09-06-2016, my sister and I drove by the site and there were still fresh flowers at this spot. It blew our minds to say the least. Dad was still remembered by others as well. I have received the video of the memorial service but have yet to view it. I know that I'm rambling, but while cruising through all the pictures that I have taken, this one called out to be posted. I hope you don't mind but my soul cries out to show you this. thank you for all your wonderful comments and faves less than 5 days and counting until my left eye gets 'fixed' but who's counting?

Oh, Mike! This is really touching! Finding out, that other people are sharing the pain and the sorrows can be so comforting. Discovering, that one is not alone with all the grief can help a little to lighten the burden and is often a good catalysator to deal with it all. Going my self again through hard times (lost probably just another dear cat last weekend - that's why I'm so absent at rendo at time being) I really can understand your situation quite well and what it means, having some friends around helping to carry the burden.

A very moving memorial and a great picture of your dad. He looks like a kind man with a sense of humor. And I think I can see a hint of mischief in his eyes. Hold on to his memory, Mike, and make sure your kids know who he was.

I thought that before seeing his comment. That's very heartwarming my friend, Bet that does blow the mind when others think of your dear father. We have alot of makeshift memorials around the area for other fallen people from car crashes. Our biggest one is for a person named Alan Rose. He was a tow truck driver doing a repo on a vehicle. He died being dragged to death by the owner of the car as he was hooking it up. Story was he was dragged for several miles before his body came untied from his cable and came to rest on the roadside. The driver got 20 years in prison for that. Hope all is well bro. Nice shot.
