I like the feeling of speed with the blurred starfield in the background. I'm not 100% certain how the pod connects to the rest of the ship, but it may look cool with burn marks on the exploding hull from the ejection rockets. Great ship design!

nice work, glought. always improving too, because i think i keep saying "i think this is your best work yet." this image is certainly the most exciting image you've posted. the blurred starfield and explosions make a big impact. i have to agree with memaci that the connection between the cockpit and the neck of the ship looks as if it might be merely a pressure-fit. you may want to add some objects sticking out of the neck to give the impression of hoses and ducts and electrical conduits that were severed when the pod ejected. i think i saw the old animation of this on your website (finally got windows media for my mac). this version looks a lot nicer. keep it up.
