Description

Here is Denizia - a character that I'm super happy with save for the warping in her left eye. I can't seem to figure out how to correct for off kilter pupil. If anyone has suggestions how to fix it, I'm all ears. I don't want to change the asymmetry of the face otherwise. I like the more realistic look. It's only the warped iris and pupil that trouble me at all. And, this only seems to be an issue when rendering close ups. It's really unnoticeable during half or full body renders. I'll post a full body version soon. Denizia's face was sculpted using photo references in Headshop 10.2. Unfortunately, correcting an already exported head seems to be ineffective within HS10. The program has always been buggy...which is a shame. Because, I really enjoy using it. The eye problem is not unusual. HS10 is very good with eye shapes that closely match the original 3D head. But, it has a problem with any irregular shapes, or in this case a lazy eye. So, some guesswork is involved to put the eye shaping dots it position to account for where the eye should actually line up in the finished model. Further tweaking was done with Die Tryings 182 morphs for Gen2 to get the final shape...in particular the chin and nose profiles. They looked good straight out of HS10. But, using the Profile feature of HS10 is still unreliable. It's much easier just to use a photo reference and go for a similar shape with face morphs. Denizia's face texture is built using the Living Doll merchant resource skin as a base. It was further edited using Hinky Punk's Build a Babe Photoshop layout. I love the way BaB organizes layers for easy editing and adding of elements. I added and or edited additional facial features like the mouth corners and eye makeup and lid definition. Anyway, I'd love some input as to how to correct the eye issue (maybe some way to correct the UVs?)...and of course, any comments about the character in general. Certainly, I could just redo the sculpting from the start. But, my experience has been that no two sculpting sessions, even using the same reference photos, end up looking the same. So, I'd like to preserve the work that I have already done with Denizia. And of course, the info would be of great use for future corrections. Thanks!
