Description

The wasps are very busy at present, not only collecting food but harvesting wood to continue building the nest. There is a very active nest in one of my woodpiles at the end of the garden.

Many years ago I was having lunch alfresco. The outdoor deck was crowed with diners when a single wasp began buzzing around. People panicked but you walk up and say howdy. A brilliant close up of a creature that terrifies most people.
