Description

Second in a series of shots taken 9/16/16 by my nephew as he drove from Hobbs, New Mexico to Santa Fe, New Mexico. I don't know if he encountered any heavy rain during his trip, and I'm not sure if he took the pics while driving or having stopped. Maybe I should have asked. Anyway, with his permission I added various goodies to the scenes, this one an automobile, an airliner, and the lightning, all downloaded from the Internet. So all I did was create a composition. Helle should like this. A ZOOM would be well advised.

Ooh, looks like that plane is going for an emergency landing in the field...wonderful work, Harry.

I can't get over how much this looks like the Midwest, but for the sandy ground. Anyway, that car is great, driving on the ground in an area where the grass breaks into sandy dirt. It almost looks like a hearse, or a limo? I love the juxtaposition, a rich person (in the back seat) being driven, in one of the most desolate landscapes imaginable, and off the road! The lightning is luminous and creepy, and you stopped it just at the horizon (nice touch). And, where that plane is headed, I don't know, but I hope the captain plans to lift it a bit. If there's an airport nearby, you wouldn't know it from this shot. Wild and fun juxtaposition. Reminds me of your mixed media work, which had the same wild juxtapositions and whimsy. (A limo driver in the middle of nowhere, in a storm??? Love it.)
