Description

"This is Unit 514. The cowgirl and I are tracking one of the Brutes through the city ruins. Over." "Roger that, Unit 514. Godseye acknowledges. We're moving drones in now to assist. Over." "Thanks, Godseye. Unit 514 out." ====== I've been sitting on the Gynoid cyborg stuff for a while. I couldn't figure out how to do partial (like one arm instead of two) and unless I used the vendor's material skins, couldn't figure out how to do a non-natural looking hand to match the rest of the arm. So, I figure the armor is one vendor's solution to not only protection in combat, but spinal and skeletal support when lifting heavy items (Steve Austin would have shredded himself lifting too much). I also grabbed a helmet from a Daz set I've used for other cyborgs in my gallery. It worked nicely. I don't have much for G3, so my pose options were limited and had to be tweaked. Would I prefer a camo pattern to the gold? Yes. But the gold is pretty, so I can't really complain. And as always, I figure even someone with a electro-mechanical limb will want real shoes. Metal feet on pavement would just suck.

It came together nicely. There should not be any limit to the poses for G3. You need to start doing the poses manually instead of just relying on pre made poses.

I often tweak, but have been frustrated with from-scratch posing. But, you are 100% correct. Many of the canned poses aren't worth the hassle.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually do appreciate it. I can't get better if I don't know what I could do better.

Nice render. Looking forward to seeing more synthetic character renders, especially the Parris style ones ie AikoBot/Bot Armor/Bot Genesis line. :)

I actually picked up a couple of older ones...just need to do something with them. Some can update to newer gen characters, some can't.

Of course, if i knew how, I'd consider doing some 100% original attempts.

But, it's all good escape from my real life job.

Thanks. Maybe one of these days I'll try something less concrete (like your work). It'd be a good exercise, given how concrete my professional world is...

Sounds like a really cool story, kind of an "Apple seed" feel to it. Very cool, Nice image and sci-fi feel

I've never actually watched any of the Appleseed movies nor read any of the comics. Now, I'm curious. ;)

My concept is that there's different generations and levels regarding cyborgs: the primitive tanks like Robocopy (who've lost much of their humanity), the scaled down but still obviously part mechanical, the stealthy mechanical (6 Million Dollar Man), the nano-tech based cyborgs. And, you could even view the Marvel Comics character, Wolverine, as a mutant/cyborg (at least before they retro-fitted the bone claws into the equation years ago).

Thanks for the feedback, though.
