Description
From a tree in the neighborhood. But not one of the common Chestnut Trees. Maybe edible, but that wouldnt be a big experience, as the fruit are never well developed. So these are for the good looking, I suppose :)

It doesn't get warm enough here either for the fruits to swell and ripen , so the squirrels get the lot!

Not exactly chestnuts roasting on an open fire, but most colorful and definitive in its own way, Helle. I like the high contrast lighting effects on this one. And, at 25 Celsius today, it really cooled off here, at least for a little while.

When this went up, I think I wrote to you. If I didn't, I should have. It's got a big 'burst' to it, the way the leaves shoot out to us, and those hairy chestnuts draw all the attention to them. The light is wonderful, and the textures are very sharp, with deep contrasts between light and dark. I love this. A terrific photo. Bursting with outgoing energy...
