Description

Hi There =) ! Thank you for the wonderful wonderful comments and favs and likes on my renders. Miho was saddened and angry at the same time. She had received call from Jeremy, a person in charge of an animal conservation sanctuary she had helped set up to save the animals from poaching. An elephant had been killed. Not by poachers but by 2 guys out to get selfies with animals they kill. She got into the fastest aircraft she had and flew in to see for herself. Jeremy picked her up from the airport and took her to the site of the killing. During the journey he said that he was making his rounds when he heard an agonizing scream from an elephant and as he came up the ridge he saw 2 guys laughing and taking selfies and photos of each other in front of the elephant lying of the ground with arrows sticking out. The moment the 2 guys saw him they took off and though he wanted to give chase he wanted to see if the elephant was still alive and could he help it in any way. Unfortunately the elephant was already dead. He had gotten a good look at the 2 men and had got the sketches made. Once they arrived at the site, Jeremy stopped the jeep at the ridge and let Miho walk to the fallen elephant. Miho was overcome with grief and emotion. She knelt besides the elephant and put her hands on it to say her final goodbye and also to vow that she will find the 2 culprits. After paying her respect and saying goodbye she got up and took out the arrows. What she saw was they were coated in a kind of poison that prolonged the agony and killed slowly. She got even more angrier. She promised that she will find the 2 men and give them a dose of their own medicine. Let them suffer they way they made this helpless animal suffer and that too just because they wanted to take photos and selfies. "They killed a magnificent animal just to take some photos ???" That kept repeating in Miho's mind. She just could not understand it. She walked back to where Jeremy was standing and asked for the sketches of the 2 men. They could run, but they could not hide from her. She would teach the 2 a lesson. About this render: I have been working on Miho's face for the past week. There were problems in her face geometry in the mouth and eye area that were causing distortion whenever I tried to apply any emotion other than the smile she had. After fixing them in Zbrush I wanted to do a render with Miho feeling sad and anguish. So needed to think about a scene to do. While thinking about the scene I was just clicking through my content library and chanced upon the elephant figure. That immediately gave the above scene idea. So I put a terrain prop in the scene and added the elephant along with Miho and posed both Miho and the elephant. I also used the "Active poses" tool on Miho to pose her hands and on the elephant's legs to pose them along the terrain. I then tried different emotions on Miho and settled on the above. Then I thought she had to get there somehow so added a Jeep prop and added another character as the person in charge of the animal conversation sanctuary who called her to inform her about the killing. Finally added the arrows and the scene looked completed. The terrain material is one of the new high def materials I have bee using lately. The only texture I did not like was of the elephant. It was of such a low quality that I actually thought of not doing this render. I search DAZ / Renderosity / Hivewire for a better texture for the DAZ elephant but could not find anything. I hope the poor quality of the elephant texture does not take away too much from this render. Hope you all like the render ! Rendered in Daz Studio using the Octane Plugin. No post work done. the death of a splendid elephant will never grow his murderer! More crime is abominable, plus the author reduces the size of his heart !!!

I ask that question alot, Why? But in another way. Shame man loves to kill animals like this for pleasure or profit. A very disappointing scene. Great job on it.

It is quite sad that this sort of scene is as common as it is. Too many of our rarest animals are killed far too soon. The world is a poorer place each time one of these wonders is removed from it.
