Description

A moment of the battle at Housestead: a group of Picts succeeded in bursting into the fort: here one of them is fighting against the centurion of the 13th Legio Gemina Ariminensis and the Legatus (general) on the left. Thank you for your kind comments.

Very good shot! I appreciate the amount of accurate historical detail these re enactors put into their interpretations, such as the legatus being the only one with plate torso metal armor and the centurion with the lorica hamata chainmail and transverse helmet crest.

An outstanding shot. I played soldier with my friends as a boy. This looks like more fun. The Picts and the Scots were fearless warriors. Hadrian's wall was built to keep them out of England.

This looks like strikingly hard work, for some ... but the best part is, those incredible looking metal armors, very authentic indeed.
