Description

From a few autumns ago. Near home...
* * *
Hi everyone. I still have a few galleries to go. But last week was taken-up up by my sister having a major hemorrhage (internal bleeding), which was very serious. They had to do emergency surgery. She's recovering now, but I've been in the hospital for 6 days straight. So my activities came to a halt. Lynne (my sister) is doing much better, and as soon as she's fully recovered, I'll come back and visit those of you I haven't visited yet. And I hope to do one more round to all of you, just an image or two to give my love and appreciation for all you do here. Then I'll step away for a few minor procedures (nothing serious, just a pain---dental and hip). I hope I won't be gone too long... Thank you so much for your wonderful reception whenever I return. You don't know how much I appreciate it. I hope you're all having a wonderful November, and I wish you a wonderful week. Thanks for your patience too. I'll be back soon. Take care, all! Mark (it glows better, zoomed...I live all of 3 blocks from that woman, and when autumn hits, it blooms) ------------------------------------------

I am sorry for your's sister problems and hope that all will solve in the better way as soon as possible. The image is absolutely evocative of the aspect of beauti and warm of autumn times. The light absolutely captivating and enveloping It seems to embrace as to protect the girl sitting in a sunbeam.

Over the course of my life I've noticed that good people seem to have all sorts of problems while true SOBs go on forever. I hope your sister has a quick recovery and comes out the other side stronger than ever. As for this image, I never realized how vibrant a city could look. Love the colors but what's the deal with that machine?

This is glorious, Mark! The saturated colours are a joy, and your composition perfect, as always. I guess that vehicle cleans the pavement?

Mark is right about good folk seeming to have the most problems . It is so in my small circle too. Very best wishes to your sister, and to you with your 'minor' issues.

Oh, this is absolutely gorgeous, Mark!

You and your sis are in my thoughts and prayers, my friend - I hope her recovery is speedy and complete, and your procedures go smoothly. I'm going to have to have some work done myself in the near future, it seems. Getting old sucks sometimes... :-D

See ya soon, my friend!

What a lovely shot with all the autumn foliage. Such a lovely area near where you live. I'm so sorry to hear about Lynne and glad she is recovering. I know how exhausting all this is for you, Mark, and send my haling and loving thoughts to both of you.

What a perfect setting, Mark. Everything is also straight, and the colors do justice to all that can be seen on it! And it has to be truly admired in full size, where each tone stands out with respect to each other, so admirable. I have no idea what the blue kind of flags on the road are, but 'man', what a movement, so many cars as a big hose of considerable length. Anyway I wish your sister Lynne a full recovery, plus Mark you also of the same, and that you will be redeemed of all the pain (where ever ;-)). With sweet greetings from the Netherlands).

Wow! As always your composition is spot-on, and I love the way that you seem to give it an almost mosaic-like feel, as if every pixel is jumping out and saying "ME! Look at ME!" I wish we had those wrought iron-bounded plots next to our streets, they remind me of New Orleans. Absolutely wonderful photo and I hope your sister's condition has stabilized, and that your own issues are improving.
