Description

I uploaded a story last night; but in editing, I lost it. I'll upload it another day... (Thank you to those who commented: I saw them all.) I did this image a few weeks ago. It's best zoomed for details. I'm sorry I've been absent so much. Lots happened. I promise to be back to comment. I've seen everything without exception though, and it's been wonderful. For now, I wanted to wish you a blessed Christmas, Chanukah, Solstice, and any other celebration you have for the end of the year...your kindness to me and others---and your art---are wonderful gifts. I wish a love-filled, radiant holiday to you all Love, Mark (winter trees, near home) ----------------------------------------------

And as someone once said to me, a Happy Chaka Khan to you, Mark! That guy was kidding of course, I think. A great triptych, the last image could symbolically stand in for the three spirits of Christmas that visited Scrooge. I love looking at winter scenes. The key word there is looking. I hope the season is kind to you and your family and that you have a healthy and happy New Year. Tonight is the second night of Hanukkah so its time to deck the halls with matzo balls.

Happy Chanukah to you, dear friend, and a prosperous, healthy and creative 2017!

I love what you did with the first image, blocking out sections and changing values and colors and whatnot. That first one alone is worth the price of admission! (Yeah, I know, but I'll pay you later. The check is in the mail.) I like the flip and the doubling, and the fact that you took out the center tree once in the third frame. It's after midnight ... I stayed up to post Helle's birthday present ... so I'm sure I'm not making as much sense as I otherwise might. Bear with me, though, and something might trickle through and be the most profound thing you've heard all day. (HA!) The trees in the third panel are an embrace, a holding, a safety net, perhaps. Just beautiful. You've created another wonderful progression, and the techniques you used that you don't generally show off turned out great. Love it!

I'll let Tara say it all!

I especially like the middle one, it would make a great etching.

It's fascinating to discover these wonderful threes. They seem like enchanted, because there is so much to see, the excellent styles and details. And then the colors and textures, really, you again shows one of your great talents, dear friend. Well I tried to open your 'yesterday story', but didn't succeed by doing so. I found it strange, but now I understand 'the joke'. (as they say here ;-)) Wishing you a blessed holiday too, and that it may take a long time 😄

Nice job of copying, layering, flopping, inverting, reducing opaqueness, framing, etc. - all from the original - and joining them altogether for this cool holiday triptych tribute, Mark. And yes, thanks for the good wishes. May 2017 be personally a heck of a lot better than 2016 was. Happy Chanukah/Hanukkah. I gotta get out their and spin my dreidel. Incidentally, don't forget Kwanzaa.

Now Look at this wonderful adventure of three magic images. Dont know how you get the so wonderfully crispy and sharp. Yea sometimes I am able to see clearly. I love these almost posing tree trunks and i love the wet ground they are standing on. You added a rectangle in the image and let it dublicate with another setting i assume. It looks awesome and i see you dublicated and mirrored it. I my self love doint this and it made a lovely symmetry. What a beautiful triptych, dear Mark. I really love what you did here:) I hope you are having a relaxed and very Happy Chanukah. :)

Well, now that the Christmas dust has settled, [in OZ] literally speaking ! - because with our 'mid-hot-summer-temperatures', we are melting, (ca. 30 C or 86 F) walking, I should rephrase that, running over hot concrete and burned grass, without much rain in sight, it's oh weh, oh weh ... but no real complains, nothing that a quick dip into the cool pool can't fix, we love our warm weather 🌞 ; sorry Mark to make you a bit jealous ... So, for now it's back to business here at Rendo ...

Here you are posting something extraordinary, for us to admire and well deservedly so ! - I have read every bodies comment and they are full of praise for your most interesting idea of style & design, so complex and not so simple in technique, sort of outside the box, if I may call it that (?) - but in the most endearing kind of way - KUDOS Mr.T. ! - [BTW - I also googled a 'dreidle' ? aha !]

I love it ! and I just like to add that the last of the 3 frames, appears to be, as if 'WE are - of all Nations' - holding hands, hugging each other and dancing together 💃 around just like these trees do - in unison - without borders, heavenly !

... and a very HAPPY NEW YEAR's wish to you and your loved ones,

Cheers 🍸🍸

Brigitte

It's my turn to get to your gallery. No ebots mean I don't know who's posted what or when and I forgot about that. Duh...... This is a beautiful holiday image; it has all the beauty of a winter's night and it just glows with Noel!! The last is my favorite of course, being a color kind of girl. You do such amazing work with various renditions of the same image. I'm so late, but I hope your holiday was a good one, with friends and family and all good things.
