Description
I have always loved German Shepherd dogs, the one's I have known have been such beautiful dogs inside and out. I remember when I used to work at the Veterinary clinic, a client that I became friends with would bring her GSD to see my little dogs. Yes my little dogs would accompany me to work every day and had their own bed in the reception of the Veterinary surgery. What I found so endearing about the GSD is that she would get down on the ground to the level of my small dogs in order to play with them, and play they did too, mouthing and having fun with each other.
I have made a new friend recently who has a GSD as an assistant dog and he helps her as she is wheelchair bound with chronic painful illness, he is always by her side. Recently my friend was involved in a nasty accident as a vehicle ploughed into her while she was in her wheelchair, it has made her even more disabled, but her dog has taught himself new skills in helping her undress and dress. He watched as she struggled to get her clothes and socks off, and without prompting he pulled on her clothes and socks, thereby undressing her so she need not struggle any more, he is amazing! ...
I found this painting in my files showing how warm hearted a GSD can be, hope you like it my friends.

nice composition with adorables little cats !!! Actually, I look at "SUPER VETERINAR" Noël FitzPatrick each day....a very big clinic where half of the doctors ownes a dogh or a cat !!!

An amazing story Jane. I pray she gets better. My friend worked also at a Veterinary clinic for over 30 years. She always took her dogs to work with her. She now has a big black GSD that is a gentle giant . Love you image as always. Beautiful and touching. A favorite!
