Description

"...could you squish it for me? It's kind of big..." This took the new computer 5 minutes 44 seconds to render! I was so happy--though I still know nothing about the right Iray settings, since I only vaguely remember the settings for my old 35mm camera; the camera I have now has this "Auto" feature that makes it all easy :D The gun zap is postworked in. I could have figured out a workaround but it would have taken me way longer than the 5 more minutes I spent in Photoshop. Also Stonemason's cool ambient materials didn't Ambi at all, though the material settings looked ok. It's the Generic Sci Fi Corridor. There is just a lot of places to check in D/S and I haven't found them all, apparently. The head morph is from gypsyangel's Men of the Night set, with Quinn's texture.

That's gotta be a big freakin' spider when you have to use a ray gun to kill it! You ought to let it live there and let it take care of the Solicitors that come to your door, ie. the salesman, politician, etc.....as well as the unwelcomed relative that just wants to 'visit for a few days'

The Xfinity salepeople--the spider can eat as many of those as it can hold :D Hehe! My relatives are delightful to come and stay because they cook and clean more than I do :D

Hahahaha - I like Faemike's idea there except the part about having it live with you. Him however well.... Let's think about that ;)

This turned out really well, Lynn! Very nice lighting from here - even if not to 'your' expectations.

Thank you! By the time I learn how it works they will introduce a new build :D I'm not letting spiders live here--I'm allergic to them! Quinn might be another story. ;)

Spiffy new computers are FUN!! I'm glad it's working for you...and it's nice to have a man around to go into complete overkill!

The spider is toast! And the computer is great--I am not used to Windows10, mostly because of the missing Start menu. Also the DVD thing is sideways so gravity does not help the insertion of disks. Aside from that, it's a nice computer! It's mostly just for Daz but now I find I am sneaking other things on it as well..I still need a image viewer other than Painter...

That must be some spider to need that thing to kill it! Or maybe he's just mad and it's overkill? Hmm, I wonder if we'll get to see the corpse...

Nice posing but then that's not unusual with your work.

Spiders just love to bite me! Then I welt up and scar. :p So I am not too keen on them inside, though I like them outside :D Thank you too! I have needed a new computer for ages so this is so much fun. I've never had two good working ones at the same time before :D

I say just make a truce with the danged thing, you pro'ly DON'T wanna see what it eats.

Ah, ambient light in Iray needs a bit of work, since it acts as a light source. That's all found under the emissions channel in the surfaces tab. It gets a bit...technical I'll dig up what I have on Emission and camera's and pm you. They're both interdependant. Change camera f/stop, and your lighting will change as well. Plan on playing around with some simple scenes a lot to get used to stuff and see what's going on. Also, I do recommend Sickleyields Deviantart page, she had tons of resources there in her journal section that last time I was able to log on to DA.

In the meantime I can post some example scenes and explain a bit if it helps.

Nice work. 💯 Oh, nothing goes over a neat little house spider ... As long as their size does not exceed half of a thumb .. Something like that keeps mosquitos and flies out of the apartment. Larger specimens, however ... A biologist should have said once - if there were spiders in the size of an average housecat, humanity would not have had a chance ...
