Description

She knelt at the water's edge and searched the moonlit reflections for signs that her time had come. Soon, the dawn would break and Ginsai would either be back in Reonne and asleep amongst the trees, or she would be long down the path to a new adventure. Either way only the ripples in the water would know of her passing. - Happy New Year to All! Here is a new fantasy character, Ginsai. She is created with a new original head shape and some added morphs from LY Flower Girls. Her body shape is a slight variation of the one I used for Katja. Ginsai is of a smaller race of Elves and has a more sprite type look. The hair is the Kanzashi hair for G3...which really seems to suit her. The environment is from the Iray Worlds Skydome expansion along with Stonemason's Iray Clouds. Thanks for looking!

I like it. The composition of the figure with the background is very nice. The shadow at the neck seems a bit unnatural. It's like you have a spotlight behind her creating the shadow around the neck. Maybe try turning off the shadows for that spot. But overall a very nice render.

Thanks! The light causing the shadow is actually the environment moonlight. It is a strong backlight in this render. However, there is a left fill pointed at her to increase visibility on her face. It might just be positioned too high to get rid of the heavy shadow. I like the shadow look. But, I agree that softening it would make it blend better with the scene. I'll be doing several more renders and experimenting with the lights. Thanks again for your comments. I always enjoy any tips or constructive critique.
