Description
A co-worker had been here at the Ground Zero site the previous month and told me his family had the same impression. I suppose the memories of watching the towers fall is too close to put behind. ( can imagine the PH survivors have a different perspective of the USS ARIZONA memorial than do regular visitors.)
Mrs. W found the upper part peaceful, but the museum underground was decidedly unhappy. IMO too many innocents died horribly for it to be otherwise. Even I stopped descending as it just did not feel right. If you get the chance, I do recommend visiting; form your own impressions and memories.
