The last shot is me as a mafia don.
Selfies for friends, the last few years. And as you can see, I really am bald...
(Note: I don't usually wear white-on-black: But that last shot is my 'new look'. I always wanted to be a scumbag.)

Ok, I've never done this before, but I'm gonna break tradition:
Ebots have been sporadic again, and this one time I'm going to re-post a link. I feel like a jerk doing that, like I'm a self-promoter (Don King, ladies and gentlemen)...but my last piece was something I worked hard on, and I just wanted to give the link for those of you who didn't get it. Now, it's FINE if you don't want to see it! And if you think it's the worst piece of writing since The Beverly Hillbillies, it's fine! You don't have to comment! But this one time I wanted to let you know it's up. (I hate this ebot thing. We've all been effected. Forgive my doing this, one time...)
Finally, some of you have suggested I do something with my writing. I wanted you to know that I'm actually doing something with it: I'm starting the slow process of submitting it to the market place---magazines, journals, etc---not just the web. I've been working towards that, a long time, and I appreciate the support you've all given it. I appreciate it greatly.

great captures especially the last. you remind me of a long time friend that passed away several years ago . he had a white beard with balding head. He lived in a cabin for 9 years with no running water and wood stoves for cooking and heat. he finally moved into town so there would not be a long commute to his architectural design office. besides having difficulty walking up the small mountain to his cabin

My new look 'I've always wanted to be a scumbag'. LOL! Would make a great ad slogan for the latest high fashion Washington look.:o) Sorry. I actually like the 'white-on-white Don appeal of your apparel. Your eyes are so full of humor, joy, and warmth, I don't like seeing them hidden. For me, I'm a sunglasses fashionista and wear them all the time. I also LOVE hats, so my fav is you in a hat. Thanks for the link to your latest writing ... I didn't get the notice.

Love the one with the hat best of all! But they are all great, and the last one is a HOOT! I just wonder if you are wearing yellow socks in that one. My mother told me never to trust any who wore those, as they would probably turn out to be a commercial salesman. Don't ask!

I like all these shots, but especially the mafia don next to the towel rack (I'm picturing you ripping it out of the wall & beating a rival gang member over the head with it) & the top one in the Harpo Marx raincoat, which I can picture you pulling all kinds of strange objects out of).
Good luck with your writing submissions - the world needs more of your brand of humor & empathy. Now, I'm off to follow your link...

OMG, I can't believe this! Selfies via the bathroom. Oh well, at least that room has nothing around to compete with your physical being. And, despite your baldness, you otherwise have plenty of hair to compensate for the lack on top. It must keep you warm in that sub zero Chicago weather. When was the last time you shaved and had a haircut? You still remind me of Charles Darwin. But you do have a kind, jolly, all's-right-with-the-world face. I like that Columbo trench coat and the white tie with black jacket, which really stands out. I could never take a selfie myself, not with my gaunt, depleted, 110 year old face. I've got a hell of a headache now, so I'll cut this short. Terrific shots, my man.

OMG, you look like a less wrinkled version of me! But with better teeth. And you look good in a suit. But I'm not sure about the Mafia. Mickey Cohen was the only Jewish Mafia don I ever heard of. Meyer Lansky might have qualified but he was just the mob's accountant. Bugsy Siegel might have made it but he died young. You do take a good picture though.

What an achievement, 4 times the top prize here! LOL, because if I would translate 'top prize' from Dutch literally into English it would be "the head-prize". So, there's a price on your head, my friend. What means in Dutch, such as "you're wanted by the police," and indeed, when I look at the bottom picture, I can imagine, you are a protagonist of the Mafia. Actually, it is no real surprise (sorry, huh?), Because I haven't forgotten the previous Don Juan I have seen here in your gallery, you might remember, Mark? When I said something like, that you seemed a womaniser, chuckle . But I thank you many times for this photo session, it reassures me, you seem yet still to be in great shape. I wish you a huge success with writing, and hope that it will be a hit. Too bad that my eyes are not in top form to read to your writings. (P.S. Thank you very much for your nice words to my uploads, it's always so interesting how you can describe things what you see.)

I remember these! It's fun to see people's reactions to your selfies, and who thinks which one is more "you." :) It was a celebration of the wardrobe, as I recall, and a highly successful fashion shoot indeed! The last one cracks me up. That's gotta be the author portrait on the back of your first book of humor!
