just a swirly thing I did for the New Year. I hope it conveys "a new year around the corner"--- A wonderful year to you all, with thanks for everything you give, including the support and love you've given me, as well as to everyone else you touch. And I hope it's a lot better for those of you who suffered in 2016...and for the world too. Let's hope and work for both... Peace and love from the arctic climes of Chicago! (actually it's pretty temperate here---but come January, this place rocks, as in frozen-tundra rocks: 30-below wind chills: It's otherworldly) Happy New Year, everyone!!! M (i wanna say "this is out my window," but naaaah...I don't see stuff like this more than once a week...) ---------------------

Sitting here listening to Megadeth and looking at great images! Don't plan on going anywhere, not with all the idiots on the roads. May watch some Vin Diesel movies followed by some Resident Evil movies. My life is soooooo exciting!

Has a wild Tim leary look, Mark. I say it trips me out. Wonderful image my friend, got me a 6 pk of fat tire beer and a few buds. Going to stay home and enjoy since I only drink two or three times a year at best. Have a safe and great holiday. Glad you enjoyed my last humorous image.

I must say, everything looks different on your side of THE BLUE PLANET, than here 'Down Under' - even the fireworks ! maybe it was the influence of something left over from those Hippy Years ? we used to have a saying: 'Hot To Trot' - velly, velly vibrant swishes there ! ?$@#%^&

... but low and behold the Sun is already poking her head through those swirly clouds (top left) - it's true, 'our' first half of the New Years day is all peacefully quite and hot 35 C [or in your language 95 F] - maybe a 'cooler colour' version of this one for us, who sweating it out ? it might help or I will just have to jump into the pool to get relief

With that swirl of blue, red, pink, orange, etc., stuff your image kinda reminds me of a lava lamp, but much prettier. Or it's like a bunch of colorful blankets tumbling in an other worldly clothes dryer. Great effects achieved in this New Year tribute, Mark. I wonder how you achieved that esoteric effect. Otherwise, Flavia49 overextended herself with a four word comment, ArtistKimberly continues ending her signature comment with a comma. And how ironic that Faemike55 would mention Vin Diesel: I watched his Riddick movie last night. That said, my comments pretty well reflect the ones preceding mine...and I want to thank you for your Happy New Year's greetings and wish you the same. May 2017 be light years better than 2016, particularly healthwise.

Gorgeous! If Earth is green and blue, this is the a couple planets over on the color spectrum, and it's glorious! (The sun coming up over the horizon is the perfect foil.) A beautiful image for the new year.
