I woke up to the sound of a plow. Looking out my bedroom window - SURPRISE! Christmas, New Year and 12th night are past, and, surprise, here comes that white stuff! Nice to look at, but treacherous glass ice underneath! I wonder how many sprains and broken bones the emergency room skeleton staff must take care of today? Knowing the weather here, it may all be reduced to slush by tomorrow. Best to enjoy it while it lasts! Without injuries.
ENJOY! At least you're not out in it, slipping and freezing!

great shot of winter weather. we got a small amount but Tennessee and Georgia got hit hard by snow and ice. the North East is expecting an additional 12 inches on top of what they have already. right now our temperature is 15 F but 75 miles to the NW it is in the low single digits

Nice snow scene. I can appreciate snow from a distance. Chicago had some a couple weeks ago, but melted. Now it's just cold.

We just got our first snowfall and it's cold outside! Very pretty stuff, but hard to navigate in!

We're bracing for another blast of Snow/Freezing rain mix in the Pacific Northwest - most unusual for our state, especially along the Columbia River.
We've already had three of our volunteers slip and hurt themselves in varying degrees, the worst is a broken ankle.

I live in Buffalo, NY, USA, where snow is a regular occurrence. South of the city is getting pounded by lake effect snow and has been for the past week. In the city we just got a dusting today.

Yeah, we got some of that here, too. ICK! I don't mind the snow that much, it's just that freezing rain that usually precedes it... Add that to the brainless idiot drivers around here and it's non-stop fun....
