You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

this is great - I love the transformation - it almost looks like bead work. A soon as I get my new computer back from the shop...

Beautiful work, both the original and the mosaic.

Well it seems your Jeff has talents we are not familiar with. And your interpretation would look fantastic as a real mosaic. Just one nit, did you mean prosperity or posterity?
blondeblurr
let me think ? not too sure ? DOH ! LOL...

My Prosperity is in His Posterity !

Very interesting collaboration between Jeff and you, Brigitte! The original picture is very beautiful, and the DDG version is amazing with the mosaic style!
Have a nice sunday!

I agree with Mike, it looks like tubular coloured beads glued onto the base image...Deep Dream Generator...RULES !
Neat find, a real blast from the past, before I went digital, black pen and chalks...hmm, wonder how I could do that on the PC ? LOL
Well done & ~Cheers~

First of all a BIG COMPLIMENT for Jeff's drawing, I just LOVE how very fine this looks; I'm impressed, about that, dear aussie-friends However, I wish to emphasize, I don't like (prefer) devils, of course, LOL. In the result with that "Deep Dream", I love that yellow wings, and how the deep blue, or almost black radiates; anyway, it came out very impressing, and less dangerous too. . Incidentally, I recognize here the "deep style" variant, and you chose "pills puzzle", not the mosaik, but who cares, right? It is a success, and I hope we will see more of your great results here, played with "Deep Dream". Incidentally, there is a Gallery here for "Deep Dream Generator", so just if you didn't know it, you can chose this by doing an upload made with this programm. Take care dear Gittie, hoping you're not a victim of the flu !

lol, Mark: I think you meant Posterity...In any case, it's always great to see a 'fully fledged' artist's work before they were fully fledged. I really like Jeff's drawing style, he certainly knew pencil technique---I assume that's pencil---and how to model and shape with pencil, doing modeling before 3D. And the concept is enchanting too, with this little demon pausing to take a bow in front of a sun...Love that you shared this. (Do you have older pieces of your own that you'd want to share---I mean from way back? Or do you keep those hidden from any human eyes, lol? I have them, but they're in a vault 300000000000 miles under the earth...)
Your treatment is wonderful, a heavy duty bead treatment, the kind of thing which, if you actually made it out of beads, you'd have lost your mind from the close work. Love how you darkened the demon and then made him bright through those blues. And the sun now has a whole mosaic of hues. And the wings are quite bright. Plus, you washed out some of the beads with cloud-like mists. You know what it looks like? a big mosaic. Very creative and very pleasing to they eye. Always great to see you post, and one of these days I have to make another pilgrimage to your 'back-gallery', to the many pieces I still haven't spent real time with.
(It's hard to believe you're in summer---it's so freaking cold here, I'm ready to leave this city! Man...and with the wind? Don't ask...)
