Pencils and pen markers , as usual. Use of colours are not realistic, as you see from a detail in the mirrors (will you? :P) This paint represents a state of soul I was in and still be in precious moments of my life :) Those who can understand this, will read clearly within my lines. It has a deep meaning in my world, I don't know in yours, but I hope you can enjoy. Hugs :)

I never knew that there are such jewels in the Smashing Pumpkins' songs :-)
I like your expressionistic style. And again not everything is perfect here, but the scenery, the strong colours, all that seems to be said by the face expression is wonderful.

A specific topic but made with so much love. You can really sense it. :) I like how you made it not as realistic in all the details in itself, as you said.. The mirror reflections is a good touch to it all :) A very warm and wonderful paint. And a lovely contrast to the latest pencil drawings. :)

There are a lot of things I like about this one. I like the way you've mixed the dynamic and the sensual. The mirror section could be a painting all its own. It works as pure color and design and as a playful opening that reveals the rest of the room. The mixture of big areas and thin stripes of color on the bed is very satisfying to the eye. The model is presented as one would present a beautiful polished pearl or a beautiful woman; with both care and pride, and that's just right. She's handled with both attention to individual detail and as a vehicle for rich paint play. I like the legs and lingerie very much, they're painted with a particular delight for both the medium and the subject matter and it makes them both all the more attractive.

the model thanks you all as well ;) I really like the way it exited from the original idea through all the variations. It took me again like two and half months to completing it. But the effect is not bad, at least is what I was hoping for :)

very specific portrait,i like the impressions youve banned with the brushstrokes,the colors are beautiful and i agree with figharo,the mirror section can tell a story of its own,interresting is how the composition can be viewed if keeping your words in mind,great painting,dear...:-)

Wow meli you shocked me with this one, i seen some of your paintings but this one is my favourite by far ! The face is beautifully painted, with a lovely expression :D Is there any medium you cant do ? In my eyes youre one of my favourite artists, the time and effort you put into this peice was well worth it ! I'm curious what size canvass its painted on ? you all are so sweet :) I am so happy you liked this one :9 Esp, the real thing (a bit bigger than my scanner, so it's partially cut actually) It's 23 per 30 centimeters :) Not big really :) I work better withlittle sized paper or canvas :)

Strange: I can't put my finger on why, but although it's impressionistic and not at all "realistic", it has this weird feeling of realism. Maybe it's the light, I dunno... but it has a kind of power, and it's very intimate because of this. And... I've never paid the Pumpkins any attention but those lyrics are pure genius :-) They really resonate strongly with me :-) Hugs

i've been missing out on a few Meli. But this one is a great self portrait. The mirrors make a real interesting backdrop, mystery and intruige. And like others here I love the style, everything should not always be finished off to perfection. It gives it a very painterly looseness..........Well done

oh yes, the technique is quite good! Like this wild expressional style! It would really be great if there was not this way to soft hair. I can not help, but especially the left (her right side) part of the hair looks so blured and soft - it draws my attention to much. looks if it would not be a pice of this picture. and well, the coulours... WAY TO BRIGHT AND SATURATED :) but this is only my personal opinion and does not matter for an objective rating :) maybe do something on the hair to give them a more "wild" strong and expressional look? If u do it would be a very good pice!

I like them the way I made them. And so I do for the saturated colours. They have to be so.. it took me so much to obtain this effect, with tempera colours!!! I see why you ask differently.. but even if I would agree in general, for the mood I had to paint, for the meaning it has to have in my world and in the world of those who can read behind it.. the way the paint has exited is EXACTLY the way this specific one has to be :) ;)

I would ask a question which only one could answer. Could such a pose be taken by someone with very little strength? It is my experience that stiffness is the possesion of weakness. In this sense the weak are not "jellyfish." Children seem to remotely aceess all the lithe and easy ways.

Questa opera senza dubbi la continuazione dell'anteriore, ma in colore, sebbene le due hanno la stessa posizione ed ambientazione, il colore fa che le caratteristiche siano distinte, la forma in che lei usa la luce, fa che il clima sia ma fotografico, poichlei ad imitato molto bene la forma in cui illumina un flash elettronico, il personaggio lo vedo ma sensuale che nell'anteriore opera, il bersaglio e nero fa che l'espressione sia ma neutra. Eccellente lavoro..mi piace la tavolozza di colori forti e brillanti che lei ad eletto.
