Description

From an old 2 mp camera (a gift from Helle!). It was soft, from lack of resolution: Instead of sharpening, I tried to 'go with the flow'. 2010, Florida. I'm finishing some writing that I meant to post last year...hope to post it soon! Will comment more tomorrow. Have a fine Wed, everyone, m (Please zoom) ----------------------------------------

I love this view! I feel so at peace right now just looking and enjoying the wonderful colours and shapes. There's a straight shot from the viewpoint to the corner of the building interfaced with curves and colours. Sometimes all we really need is the soft view to find peace.

2 MP seems like such a woefully small amount of photo resolution these days, so I think you've achieved a remarkable result with it, Mark. Going with the flow is usually a wise move (but not always, sometimes you want to go against the grain) & accentuating the softness works beautifully here. I agree with Mike - this has a very peaceful & soothing feel to it...

Sharp is not always best especially for scenic things. It works perfectly.

This is a very beautiful capture, Mark. Clarity is super along with the cool calm water reflections. Photo is a great shot no matter what you mentioned about it.

I like the result of your postwork to this 2MP shot very much Mark.
I like the reflections very much. Is this landscape part of a golf course?

This is beautiful Mark. I particularly like the flow of the image - the eye is led right into the scene. Well done!

Well, that's great you had such a gift from our dear Helle friend! When I look at this photo on zoom I really get that feeling and the impression of "go with the flow". The beautifully colored zigzag lines, plus the endorsement of the dark trees, lead the eye to the beautiful reflection in the water, so contrasting air into the water. And the mast at the end is straight. Bravo for this photo, Mark.

Beautiful saturated colors. It looks like an illustration. 2MP works for me.

This reminds me of those beautiful old postcards you used to get back in the 50s.. In this case the softness is so perfect for this scene. A very lovely image, Mark! And what gorgeous reflections!

I remember these shots from your trip to Florida so well. I know it was learning, and an experiment, but your results were (and are) amazing. Even with a tiny camera and no prior experience, your artist's eye came through in a big way, and the images you got took my breath away. Seeing this again ... it's still a piece of brilliant work!

I was just talking to a friend about how my PHONE has more MP than my first digital camera had!! But I still got some pretty good shots---this foto shows how it's all about what the person behind the camera sees. I love this foto, it just has that such a beautiful depth to it. The colors are deep and that reflection just rocks!!
