Description
Today, I'm posting a couple of photos from a walk around the neighborhood yesterday. This is either an amorphous fungus growing out of a tree or a tattered face in profile - depends on how you look at it, doesn't it?

Well, Carin, I would probably pass on 'eating' it, lol, as I have a feeling my arms would fall off or I'd wind up speaking in tongues...boy this is an example of where zoom is everything: You got some major LIGHT here, Claude. The light on top of that fungus is obliteratingly powerful. And the light of the grasses behind look like they're fireworks behind the fungus. Terrific job. I don't know what it is, and I do see a face. But it looks like something that triumphantly burst out of the tree to make a major statement. Even the stuff on the bottom of the trunk has life. You've been doing these types of pieces long enough to just know what to 'go' for, the minute you sit with them. Explosive.
