Description
Boarding the old girl, captured on my old Sears (Pentax) film camera, way way back in 1983. These three came out came out very nicely, with just a minimum of postwork required.
RMS Queen Mary is a ship permanently based in Long Beach, California and docked in the harbor. It was an ocean liner that sailed in the North Atlantic Ocean from 1936 to 1967.

Wow! The top image has a really red distortion of the black. It's like some of my Poser images (not posted) after opening in Photoshop. I have a few midnight silouettes where the part of the figure in shadow is dark red, not black. And I can't correct for it either. Interesting to see the same problem here. Nice photos of the ship on board! Another thing - looks like she has 3 parallel gun barrels (top photo). I assume these are cranes for lowering large baggage into the hold. Adds a fun dimension to the photo. And who is the person in the middle photo? The lower photo really brings out how wide and how long the ship is. The deck planks really give a good vanishing point perspective to the whole. Keep up the good work! :-)

Yes, with T.Rex, the top shot really has film-age-distortion; but, red or no, it's a fine study of abstract forms---which I assume a huge ship like this offers in abundance. I love the lines of the railing and the big pipes (or beams) above, with the riveted wall below. And the people add the finishing touch. The 2d is another example of the perspective angles one can get on a ship. Lots of interactions between verticals and horizontals. And you caught a woman on the end: a great 'end' to the shot: We don't know who she is or why she's looking at you, but she completes the shot. And the 3d has more of those bent beams, used to support the boats, etc. With the long perspective-lines of the wooden planks, and all that stuff at the end (incl a glimpse of that huge smoke-stack). Another fine collection from this ship---these ships are huge! They're cities! It must take time to get around them...
