Description

Firstly let me just say thank you to everyone who so kindly comments op my images. I really appreciate every comment and remark greatly! This is the first full view of Tower Bridge as we walked from Millennium Bridge in an easterly direction along London South Bank. The ship is the HMS Belfast and is now a permanent fixture and museum. We did not go on board because of time constraints. The washed out sky of course is ever present. Harry asked if the sun never shines there. Not very often Harry. These images were taken in the dead of winter and although on this day there were no clouds, it seemed to have been fog or smog eliminating any color from the sky. It did not rain which is always the question to ask in the UK!

Beautiful photo of the Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. It was a museum ship in 1969 when I was in England, but never got to visit on board. The London skyline sure has changed since then! I don't quite like it. Keep up the good work! I'm really enjoying "my" trip to London! :-)

Wonderful capture of Tower Bridge and HMS Belfast. I remember visiting the HMS Belfast during a trip to the UK in 1976. Great work!😃

Ture story. When I first stared working, one of my co-workers once served on her during WW2 supporting the Normandy landings!

It reaally is an impressive building I never saw with an ugly harbour around! In movies they show only the best side! So thx for the reality and its an excellent detailed capture 😃

The detail and number of structures overwhelms the senses in another one of your terrific London pics, Carin, a geometric tour de force if you will. Everything photographically perfect in this marvelous scene, color, contrast, lighting, et al.

I'm with Harry 100% on this, geometrically, and in the overwhelmed presence, etc. A lot of people don't like crowded city shots, but to me they're one of the essences of a big city. This shot is packed; the interactions are massive. And the overall pastiche---which is what a city is (adding one structure after the other, wherever it'll fit)---is visually opulent. If the Renaissance Kings and Queens could see this, they'd have a fit! Terrific capture of the natural cacophony of this pov, and I'm glad you didn't mess with the drab light: It's truthful, and you work with it beautifully.
