I enjoy creating artwork in Poser, Photoshop CC, Vue, and DAZ Studio. I also have a passion for photography, and have been actively shooting for many years. I've been using Poser since Version 8, and am also learning my way around DAZ Studio. I've been using Adobe Photoshop since version 4. I also use Vue 10. I frequently use my photos as backgrounds, and composite my 3D figures into them.
I have been creating my web comic / graphic novel "The Girls From T.N.A." since fall of 2009, and have been a member of Renderosity since August 2009. I've made a lot of wonderful friends here, and have been inspired every time I visit!
I will soon have a more complete biography, as I am updating everything. In the meantime, have a look around my gallery!
Thanks!
Rod

Smokin' hot G4, Bet she love the strong stuff, I hope AR switched to decaffeinated after blasting that coffee machine awhile back. The Breitlenger Jar has a mention on my March issue. Your a master at all softwares you use Rod. I admire your talents and friendship. Will be waiting PG 1.

LOL! The Girls chucked that old coffee machine after Ar lit it up...... Now they have their own grinder, computerized brewer, and stash of whole bean gourmet blends..
Thanks for the compliment, bro! I've barely scratched the surface of what these apps are capable of..

She looks so cute--and I approve of all coffee breaks! This looks like you have been using DS forever :D

Great looking scene. though I'm going to need more than a cup of coffee - my power supply just died in the middle of a render on my new machine

Wonderfully cool!!
There is a corollary to Murphy's Law that says:
the junk you have expands to fill the space you have.....
There's a corollary to THAT that says... the tasks you have expand to fill the time you have....
I'll scuttle off now.... ;)

Boy, isn't that the truth! And I still haven't figured out a way to keep it secret from Murphy...

Considering what T.N.A. has to contend with, I can give them slack for not yet digitizing their archives.
G4 leaves me totally speechless, she's that awesome. Her legs...just wow!

Oh my God I wouldn't even know where to start switching over to a new program. This looks great, Rod. Your transition appears to be proceeding seamlessly. Awesome pop on the render and your character is perfect.

Nice render. I'm still using 4.8. Are there a lot of differences between it and 4.9? JC
RodS Online Now!
Well, 4.9 is the first edition of DAZ I've used, so I really don't know on that one.

I tried Daz a year ago, and I was tied in knots. It wasn't Daz: It was 3D. And my lack of experience with it. I really need to spend a month with Poser, Daz, Vue, etc, to get over the hump. When some of you speak of an uphill climb with a new version, I'm always sympathetic---by analogy to programs I use---but not by experience.
It's fun to see some of you in "experimental" mode, like you're forced to go back to 'school' for a few weeks. Even the best have to go back to the manuals once in a while...
I really like G4's stance---facing one way, looking a bit to her right, one hand in the middle of something, the other facing the next room...complex. It's subtle and wonderful. I suppose it comes from doing this for so many years. You naturally go towards complex poses. (In drawing as you know, you're rarely asked to draw a model "straight on": rather, in mixed poses, mixed directions, mixed expressions, etc.) I really like this, Rod.
Then, how her clothes lay on her. And her look of slight surprise---"Oh---you guys are here!" Sexy but professional too. And a simple backdrop. I take your lighting for granted by now, it's always so well modulated. I love it even on her shoes. And multiple shadows on her body...I had a teacher, years back, who'd say, "layer your shadows: they're not just one sheet of gray!" I think one can say, you've been doing this so long and with such care, even a 'study' still has your expertise mixed with sheer ease. This is a perfect example. A really fine piece of model work, Rod.

I love your shot here, G4 came out looking pretty smoking. Her clothing looks great too, the textures came out looking right. I don't know if it's this version, or a new way Daz is using autofit but the results often need a lot of tweaking. God help you if you're trying to load a bandoleer, or a cross chest strap. They look terrible. Shoulder straps too tend to taffy-droop.
Coffee break! She speaks my language.

Very very fine image !!!
