Description

It is never easy to photograph dark on dark. This is the backside of a coat and the sleaves. It was so beautifully decorated with tiebacks and tassels and gray shiny brocade fabrik with patterns, but all dark in dark. That is why I had to draw it, because it couldnt be seen on the photo... atleast not at that time. We will have family visit today. So I might get late with my comments. Atleast I am up to date just now :) The weather?. Dont ask. :-/

Very nice detailing. Have you ever considered doing technical or medical illustration? This is a rare skill. (I know you did some tech. illustration before, but thought I would just bring it up.)

You did an amazing job on the details of this coat, Helle! Wonderful drawing - you are very skilled with this!

You did a yeoman's job on these illustrations. This is really teensy weensy delicate work, Helle. With all that tiny stuff, I wonder why it was originally dark on dark, plus, it reminds me of a metronome.

Very fine work, Helle. In zoom, we see the very fine-line pencil work, down to the little tassels along the bottom edge. In display size, we see the overall actual "coat" part of it---there, it looks like it belongs to clothing. (The zoomed size is almost pure ornamental drawing, even though it's clearly from a piece of clothing.) A beautiful piece of work, and the use of stark white lets your pencil work stand out. (This definitely looks like a military design.) Beautiful work, Helle. With all the styles you have, your fine/meticulous pencil work is yet another style, which you do with real articulateness.

(Btw, you signed it "H.A.H."---so in those days, you signed "anker" as a separate name? Ie, Helle Anker Hegelund? I know they're separate, but I always thought you spelled them together. NOT an important point, lol, but I was a bit curious...)
