Description

My Orange-Winged Amazon Parrot is neither imported nor foreign, as he was hatched locally by a parrot breeder. I have had him since about 1977, which is 40 years, and I am now worrying about who will take him when I die, as he is very likely to outlive me! Another Here

I trust someone will come forward to take him from you and to take very good care of him. Superb capture Andrea. God bless.

OH MY GOODNESS! 40 years. Now THAT is really something. Geee, you must find a godmother for him, so you dont have to worry so much :) He is so cute. Can he talk?

Byron is a very handsome fellow! I'm sure he talks the hind leg off a donkey!

With 15 or more years for an indoor cat, I'm starting to have the same thoughts. Kitty has it very good with me. But, who will care for her like me if I go first? Very good photo of Byron. Member of family. Keep up the good work! :-)

He is quite beautiful! I like Helle's idea of a godmother ... someone who will make friends with him now, before any clog-popping comes around.

I love his cheeky look in this pic. He looks very well. My friend has a parrot called Gabby & she fascinates me, she says amazing things & even asks questions!!!!!

It's true... the parrots live much longer than of man. To have a godmother is not a bad idea!

He looks good for a middle aged gent. Some good ideas here. There must be sites dedicated to avian welfare that could offer more suggestions.

wow, 40 years! I had no idea birds could live that long. Both shots are beautiful, you got real 'attitude' and expression in them. THe flickr has a really fine angle (in Byron), and this has B leaning over, where we can see his beautiful yellow plumage. ("Beyoooo-tiful plumage!") (Monty Python) Really good portraiture.
