Description
Between the street and the main building we find the fish pond. Local cats find this very interesting, but none have dared try catching a fish! I wonder why most cats shun water? Anyone know or want to venture a guess?
We occasionally have a quack pair in the pool. Guess where they are today? Not here at any rate, for obvious reason! They also find the fishes interesting but haven’t caught any to date. I count the fishes and feed them, so I know! And they DO multiply (now, how did the fish learn to multiply when they can’t learn to add or subtract?!).
The pool is frozen over in the photo. Later this day the caretaker broke up part of the ice – over 10 cm. (4 inches) thick! And happy fishes hiding at the bottom. The light grey leaning thing is an ice covered sprinkler for aerating the water. A jet of water is scarcely visible, but is the reason for the black hole in the ice. Have you found the jet? It’s hiding in plain sight!
The windows are to the large office room where I usually sit (in solitary confinement).
Enjoy! Anyone for ice tea? Er, maybe not today! Brrrr! Hot chocolate anyone? Er, what did I just say? Shhhh, or we’ll have a stampede!

Yep - I see the jet of water, and the hole where it stays more or less liquid.. I'd definitely be too distracted to get any work done, especially if I was the only one there... LOL
I'll pass on the iced tea for the moment (although our waitress friend sent me home with a huge 'to-go' jug of it last night..). Right now, it's coffee!
