Description

The gorse on the Heaths is a very important habitat for the endangered bird, the Dartford Warbler. It makes a very safe environment with the thorny branches keeping out most predators, but making a great home for spiders, which are the bird's favourite food!

Yikes----scary looking stuff!! Do they give blue flowers? They look very much like our thistles, which do bloom.

OH GOSH! I must invite the birds inside my house for an hour, when Pjuske is out and they wont be able to fly the next hour :) Excellent capture, Andrea.

Wonderful depth of field! You give me the feeling of being there, and I've been quite careful to not touch my screen. I might get scratched!
