Description
I assume everyone is as tired of my walk to work as I am! :)
Here's a different weather photo. It was taken in January 2003 when there was particularly much heavy snow. The snow on the cathedral's roof melted and froze repeatedly, resulting in the enormous icecicles in the photo. The longest are over 3 ½ meters. Not anything you'd like to get in your head. The weight and speed would impale any unfortunate victim. Notice the road cone and warning tape in the lower right hand corner. It took a few weeks thaw before the icecicles were all gone and the south door of the cathedral could be used again.
This is extremely unusual for this part of the country, so this photo is, shall I say, a rarity.
ENJOY!

Beautiful, but dangerous.

Great shot of this curtain of frozen stalactites, T. You finally decided to sit down for a while and get some rest during your arduous walk to work. Anyway, one would be punctured in half if those icicles were to drop on one. And I like the brick patterns on the building wall.

Those are some wicked icicles indeed! They can be as deadly as they are beautiful.
