My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!
If I’m missing from Renderosity from time to time, I’m busy having fun elsewhere.
Thanks for your interest in my work, and for stopping by to learn more about me!

Now this is a photo that makes you go "oooo". Like exotic sea creatures under the sea. I visited the Chihuly museum when I was in the Seattle area and it was quite a trip.

I had no idea he was from your neck of the woods. I saw one of his huge, multi colored pieces in San Francisco a few years ago and was simply blown away. What a genius!!

I'm just back for one tonight, Tara, I'll get to your other exquisite tree image (and amazing notes on lineage!) very soon. Chihuly is a bit like sunrises and picturesque flowers, it's easy to get "photogenic", but hard to get a truly fine photograph. You did the latter. You caught the splash of his glasswork, and the explosion, and the way he makes glass splash like water. The forms above the bottom "splash" recede into space as if they're echoes rather than real glass. And the shape of the bottom glass is carried through the rest of the image like a gigantic water splash sending waves everywhere. I love that the left is all black, while the right is whole new forms and lights. Beautifully done, you use darkness as well as you use light; and, for a 'still' shot, it's all motion. By not capturing "photogenic," you caught the real artist.
