Awesome shot indeed. At first I thought the reflections of the wire fence were made with a black crayon by you

I'm only back for one image per gallery tonight (due to a work load), but I'll be back for more soon. Had to comment on this, even though you posted several others I have stuff to say on too. When I first saw this, I said to myself once again, you're one of the most committed photographers I've known or seen. Even without the fence reflections, you've made a splendid graphic, a print-like image. The tones are so printlike, and the texture's almost grainy. While there are several hues---there always are in your shots---this has a brown-olive-green patina, making the orange and red accents stand out. The array of emergent and submergent forms is splendid. Then, with the grid on top, it's got a whole other level---making it even more of a print. You know, you asked me if I took a shot of my lake in front of the trees instead of behind them (in a stormy lake shot): Well first, I did; but the water was so close, it was splashing all over my camera. But there's another reason I shot behind the trees: I'm not disciplined a photographer as you are. The miracle of your work is that you have intense discipline/technique/sense of form, etc; but you never lose the inner magic. Never. They go hand in hand in your work. Terrific piece, Claude. And typical.
(btw, I posted a snippet of that serious style of writing that I said I didn't want to post on rr; and I'm actually glad I did. Maybe it's not out of place in my gallery. And it was exciting to see you delve into people photography again. I hope you do more. I'll comment more soon...)

I love the way nature is no respecter of wire fences. Water, plants, general detritus, just ignore the wire and go about their business. . This is a great shot, with loads of eye-movement pathways.
