Description

This is 'seven digital keepsakes', or toys, or chatchkies. ("Chatchkies" is a Yiddish word for stuff. Playful stuff...) I discovered Dee's bday in another gallery, and I just had to do something for her---for all the delight she brings here everyday. So I made a bunch of little 'things', and ended w/ a photo. (A bow to Dee's past.) Re Dee (Freethinker56): When I discovered her work, I thought, wow, what a dance she does! She makes such delightful images with children, adults, animals, all kinds of delightful objects, flowers, trees, etc. And in such joyous and magical settings. She puts wonderful humor in her work; and there's a dance running through it, a heart-dance...and right in the middle of day-to-day scenes, I mean everyday moments; with all kinds of revelations and magical touches. Delightful toy-like pieces of everyday life, wonderful children, and games, and serious scenes, and on and on. If you go there for the first time, look around: See the variety. And see them large---they have a glow, joy and delight. I just love her work. Happy birthday Dee, a month late! It's a joy to walk in your world, and I hope you have tons more birthdays with all the magic and dance in your soul (which is a lot!). Sorry I'm late, but I'm really grateful for all you do. Peace and inspiration to you always! Mark (This is big...please zoom for details!) -------------------------------------------

I see people are choosing their favorites! If I were to choose one, I would have to choose number five. Six is gorgeous, but that fifth one ... man ... it really speaks to me. Is this like a Rorschach test? Do our choices reveal our hidden, inner secrets? Can I change my answers? LOL!

This collection of discreet images (ie no blending, etc) is wonderful! It has a playful feeling. Like you said, "Hmmm ... what shall I get Dee for her birthday? I know ... one of these, and one of these, and one of these, and one of these ..." It's fun and light and absolutely delightful!

Okay, I wasn't going to do this, it was kind of difficult to choose, but I opted for Nos. 6 and 7, with their lovely striking swaths of bright light and rich colors. You included some top notch kaleidoscopic work here as well. A well constructed composition of tshatshkis/tsatskehs (sorry, Mark, but I checked the spelling because you like to catch me on any deviation from the norm), in this splendid heartfelt BD dedication for your friend, Dee. You must have put in a lot of time and effort into this. I've never visited her site, so maybe I'll give it a go.

All seven are pretty special but number one is mesmerizing. I feel that if I stared at it for too long I could fall into it. Lucky lady to receive birthday greetings from you.

This is so amazing beautiful and creative, as a whole art exhibit. What enormously clever of you to put this together, Mark. It once again shows you great creativity as an artist.

they are all so wonderful. each is a different look for a different mood and emotion. I really like number one but I think my favorite is number five; it looks like a puzzle. I have to flip the squares around to reveal something super magical... like a door to another world that I can't wait to explore once I figure out the secrete passageway.

Here comes 'Da Spin Doctor' with his imaginary toy collection, what a joy to view such a variety of different materials/details, call 'em, what you like - I simply cannot get my tongue around that 'Yiddish word for stuff' - unless you can wait for another 6 month for a comment from me !

Nearly everybody has a favourite, I too have one, [maybe more] and for other reasons than mentioned here before me, but the second ball (!) from the top intrigues me, most of all but more than the others. I just love the hidden treasures, which are trying to persuade me, to take a closer look and what do I find ? I felt a bit like 'Alice in Wonderland' with the discovery of hidden treasures - through a looking glass ! that just about says it all. (I hope, well I think and I know so, that you can follow me, what I am trying to say here , right Mr. T. ? It's simply charming and not to forget it's gorgeous in ultramarine blue 🌉 or is it electric blue ?👁
