Description
Near home.
I've done about 2/3 of your galleries, but I'll get to ALL of you before I step away. And I'll try to revisit too---since many of you have posted since I commented. (See, we talked about this, it's in the rule book: No one moves, breathes, posts, eats, contemplates, has metabolic functions, respirates---did I leave anything out?---fornicates, meditates, or has 'mitosis' until I finish commenting! (I have nooooooo clue what 'mitosis' is. I studied biology just after the Fall of Rome---I'm not a young man---and they didn't even have cells back then. You know what Wikipedia says about 'mitosis'? "Not to be confused with Meiosis, Miosis, Myostis, or Myosotis." Well that clears THAT up...)
Thank you for your wonderful responses to my "Nonsense Tale": You make me feel terrific. I appreciate your comments everytime I come back here.
One more shot before I go to sleep,
Mark

I took biology right after getting banned from chem class. (Don't ask). I did better in chemistry. I did learn one thing though. Clams throw up.
Sooooo...now that we've cleared that up, um...nice shot! I really like the color and dark contrast. However, I'm suspecting you have leaves down there already, so I'm prepared to be jealous. I do promise I won't post anything till later in the week though.

Marvelous photo! I love the angle and the shadow play on the brick wall. I hope your glasses are up to date, because you're going to wear your eyes out with all this commenting. Thanks for taking all the time to look!

Great shot! I love the shadow play and the changing colours, especially the browns and reds of the bricks. the greens and other intense colours add to the contrasts. Sorry, I've already posted more images since you've commented and will post more later on today

You take excellent photos, Mark. And you are the most kindest person I know here bro. Take care.

Fantastic, how you captured the light and shadows in this wonderful shot, Mark. As I have said before. I love your street shots where the trees give such a feeling of protection and where you have little gardens along so many of your houses, framed by the most beautiful black iron fences shining in the sun. Love this peaceful shot. :-)

Uhhhhh...... Is it OK if I use the bathroom? It's gonna get a bit messy here otherwise....
I really love this shot, Mark! The play of light and shadow is really wonderful, and a real playground for the eyes. I just want to take a walk down this street.

I saw your fiddled version before I saw this, and I recognized the shot immediately. This is one of those pictures that you probably couldn't mess up if you tried. Post work it any way in the world, and it will still be a terrific picture. It's the composition and the bones. Nice!!

Wonderful and interesting !!

This shot shows why I love Chicago

Nice choice of PoV, focal length and exposure time, which give the picture a nice shade and highlight the beautiful contrasts between shadows and lights!

For some reason some of my ebots are delayed a day and so I am commenting on this after your latest post.
There is something about brick and old iron that really makes a town a city. This is a very attractive image with its tree lined street and promises of character filled rooms inside the building.

I like the play of light & shadow in this one. I also noticed something a little strange about this photo. When I opened the full size image, I had the feeling that I wasn't seeing the whole thing & that I needed to scroll down, which of course I couldn't do. It was only then that I noticed that this was (more or less) a square image. To me, it has a strong feeling of verticality (maybe because of the metal rail which seems to merge with the tree that it lines up with to extend all the way to the top of the image) that belies the square shape. Just an odd perception illusion or perhaps I'm just delusional...
