Hello !
My name is Helle. I live in Denmark on the Island, Zealand. I have a husband and two sons and three grandchildren, so I am a happy person.
I like many kinds of art and I try to limit myself, but I dont succeed very well. I love my PSP9 and I think I use it every day. I like to draw, paint and experiment on canvas or paper and I wish I had time do it every day. My biggest wish is, that there would be 48 hours instead of the poor 24 a day. I just dont think it will ever happen ;)
A fantastic new world opened for me, when I was Introduced to Renderosity for the first time. I am very grateful to be a part if this site.

Hmmm. I see a little Andy Warhol influence here. Nice. I hope your friend has a nice birthday as well.

Oh, Helle, this is wonderful! I love what you did with the colors. Some of the cups even seem to have changed their shape a bit, because of the different colors and shadows and light. I am jumping up and down with excitement to see this! Have I told you lately that I think you're brilliant? :)

Thank you so much Tara. They are different shapes, because I painted 6 cups on one Paper. No copy past. Then I selected 5 cups one by one and made each look different in colors.

I see from your explanation to Tara, how you actually painted 6 cups originally. That explains the variations in strokes, shapes, etc...Helle, I love this! I love it. It is like Warhol, in that he'd take the same basic image, but vary it across a wall. (And a bow to my efforts at imitating him too!) But it's all you, in your choice of colors and those big bold strokes, using acrylic almost like oils---using them in big opaque slabs. I love the strokes, and I love the colors. When I saw "coffee" in the ebot, I thought of the old 2D Forum days, where coffee was a major theme. (Remember? Koosie's memorial had the 'coffee' theme too.) I certainly didn't expect this, though! You framed it with sharply contrasted blue and red. You handle paint very viscerally, it's very tactile, touchable...and you contrast hues 'electrically' here: The right top, the bottom left, etc. The purples in the middle-bottom against those light blue greens; the slate blues of the right bottom against the light blues beneath, and the oranges and greens above, with that deep crimson-red for the coffee. Such electric hues. This is a visual blast.
Thank you Helle. Your words are very dear, as you know; as you are to me and to everyone who knows you. You grace me wonderfully with this, as you do all year round, and you couldn't have given me a better bday gift. Though I only drink coffee 3 or 4 times a year now (because it keeps me up for a month, minimum!), just looking at this will wake me up! An electric and beautiful gift. Thank you so much, Helle! I love it!

... and who can resist a 'Warhol' ? I know, I couldn't... having said that, yours in comparison to his, is far superior, because you designed each single coffee mug separately, it's an extra effort - therein lies the difference to start with !!! Those rich colours are dynamic and I love the vibrancy you created for Mark - a top score in my books, brilliant Helle ! now someone pass the milk, please... LOL
