. And this is the hidden reality of the perception of the truth we created at our own expense in faking Krissy's death. It was hardly a challenge for our resident cloning expert, Agent Nancy Vicky, to create an inanimate duplicate of Krissy and pass her off as deceased to the human authorities. What moral and legal boundaries we crossed, I could care less. She would be cared for now beyond her wildest dreams and integrated back into society with a new identity when she was ready, by our best judgment. The Nurse Friendlies were totally on-board with this scheme and supported their dear friend, Krissy, in assimilating her into this new secret reality. Most importantly, she continued healthily thriving precisely as Doctor Mandy assured us she would. We have suffered diplomatic failures with the human authorities regarding the mysterious circumstances of Krissy's fictional death, but we'll give them bigger problems to deal with soon enough. One, in the end, is personal. "This is all for me!?" Krissy bubbled over when we brought her home. "But I don't have any money!" Money. So human. Meaningfulness? Peace of mind? Happiness?
