Description
The Arit Gate guards the entrance to the fiery passage that leads to the hall of Judgement, where the weighing of the heart takes place. It is guarded at one end by jackal-headed Aau, with outstretched arms, and at the other by his counterpart Tekmi.
I've taken a few liberties with this scxene, so its a mishmash of elements from the Book of Gates, the Book fo the Dead and various other things. I've dispensed with the barge of the sun as the Pharaoh approching on foot works better compositionally... and besides sailing through gates seems a bit daft!

Good job and interesting interpretation of the gate. I now look forward to your interpretation of the weighing of the heart chamber with the attendant gods. Keep up the good work! :-)

Very fascinating image !
The jackal-headed Aau looks very realistic in his outfit, stance and expression.
The armoured knife looks seriously harmful, happy she is holding back.
Love her long satin cover-up, bling she is wearing and her stance and expression.
Gotta add this pun sorry-- no shirt, no SHOES, no service --
Exceptional work and presentation. Looking forward to the weighing of the heart chamber.
P.S.
Totally agree that you took your time, patience and excellent work, with the gates. You may have left some intricate details undone.
Great job !

lol good catch about the shoes. I'll make sure she has her sandals for the next bit...after all she'll need to be properly attired to receive judgement!
