Description

The word Chakra literally means a “spinning wheel”— or vortex of life force, Chakras as life force, circulates between two poles, one in the physical world of the body and the other in the realm of pure consciousness... *** We have been experiencing amazing weather and temperatures for the whole of Summer and well into Autumn now [here, in 'Down Under' land] - no complains whatsoever and forgive me, for taking a daily refreshing dip into the pool, simply to cool off, plus drinking plenty of fluids - otherwise dehydration sets in... don't I know it ! ..and this brings me to the point I'm trying to make here - catching a mini Vortex close to the pool filter outflow of the water-pump and if it was any bigger it would suck me in... LOL but... ...speaking of Vortexes, there just happens to be a real one sitting off the East Coast, north of us, a category 3 at this stage, by tomorrow morning, it is predicted to be a category 5 !!!!! called the Tropical Cyclone "Debbie", people are already evacuating. Let's hope there will be no loss of life and without too much damage. *** Love & Peace Brigitte

It looks like a miniature tornado. Nicely captured.

That storm sounds scary. Hopefully everybody who ought to evacuate actually will and things will turn out okay. I'll keep the situation in my prayers.

I love your image and the explanation Brigitte but you must stay safe my Ozzy friend. We don't get those awful weather conditions in the UK - fingers crossed - the storms we do get are bad enough.

A Chakra in our pool ? and there I was thinking it was a worm-hole into another dimension ...like, at the bottom of the pool and underwater kind of dimension...LOL

Super find and watery capture...and I think "Debbie" is way too far away to effect us at all, just like that other Debbie we know (private LOL)...but ya just never know...fingers crossed that it doesn't go pear-shaped and head south !

~Cheers~

Wonderful concept and perfect image.

Looks like you may disappear into oblivion if your not careful Brigitte.

Oh we are welcoming our Spring after a few cold months Brrr.

Hydrating is very necessary indeed, lucky you to be soooo hot.

We are still wearing winter wear-- Ha ha.

Ok so much for us-- you picture is totally awesome Brigitte.

The colors and lighting are perfect.

Great imagination, well done.

Happy dipping ! !

What a wonderful find. At first i thought it was something you had done in 2D. When I realized it was a photo I thought the shadow looked like a large sea creature. I love the color and how the column of the vortex shimmers. Top notch.

A special idea again from you Brigitte. Fortunately I meanwhile know, that stupid Debbie is gone. What a stress it must have been for all in your area. For everyone who has to cleaning up, much strength with everything Debbie has left. And a cargo hugs too.

lol, your son. You have a debbie in your life who you'd like to avoid? We all have people like that...One of the things that makes your art 'yours' is that you take common sights and you find a powerful design in them, and then present them as a bold statement. This is just a common water funnel, from a drain (and yes, it's going the 'other way' compared to the northern hemisphere---thanks to Jock for pointing that out). Yet you have a way with light, angle, hues, crops, whatever's required, of making it into a big bold statement. A Presence. On top of the clarity of the funnel, the hues are so strongly defined. And you cropped it so the funnel-entry is at the top, after which we have a lonnnnnng descent down to get to the bottom: You make this a 'descent'. And the bottom has those little bulges, like it's the start of another journey. (And you have long lines---probably light lines---in the same direction as the tall shadow---which emphasize the descent as well. A really fine Brigitte shot, and I like what you wrote too. This could be a depiction of the chakra path---we enter at the surface and funnel down; and the chain keeps going along. Love this upload.
