You might spot me at Kirra Beach, the South-Eastern end of the Gold Coast, Australia, if you like beach walking like myself... but there is more ! My son Jeff (*jif3d*, here at Rendo, it helps to advertise, ooops)... he took this pic of me in 2000, then manipulated it in photo-shop and it's still one of my favourites. Just very briefly about my past... *born in East Prussia; *grew up in Berlin, West Germany; *migrated to "OZ" in 1960, (not the Wizard of Oz) but...AUSTRALIA ! I guess I was more into '2D' since early childhood, and thinking that my son Jeff may have inherited some of my artistic skills, because he translated them into '3D'. I am hooked on photography, since I discovered cameras... that's it in a nutshell. BTW - one of my fav.quotes.... ** I cannot give you the formula for success, but I can give you the formula for failure - which is trying to please everybody !** that's a wrap... Cheers Brigitte.

It looks like a miniature tornado. Nicely captured.
That storm sounds scary. Hopefully everybody who ought to evacuate actually will and things will turn out okay. I'll keep the situation in my prayers.

I love your image and the explanation Brigitte but you must stay safe my Ozzy friend. We don't get those awful weather conditions in the UK - fingers crossed - the storms we do get are bad enough.

A Chakra in our pool ? and there I was thinking it was a worm-hole into another dimension ...like, at the bottom of the pool and underwater kind of dimension...LOL
Super find and watery capture...and I think "Debbie" is way too far away to effect us at all, just like that other Debbie we know (private LOL)...but ya just never know...fingers crossed that it doesn't go pear-shaped and head south !

Wonderful concept and perfect image.
Looks like you may disappear into oblivion if your not careful Brigitte.
Oh we are welcoming our Spring after a few cold months Brrr.
Hydrating is very necessary indeed, lucky you to be soooo hot.
We are still wearing winter wear-- Ha ha.

What a wonderful find. At first i thought it was something you had done in 2D. When I realized it was a photo I thought the shadow looked like a large sea creature. I love the color and how the column of the vortex shimmers. Top notch.

It's fine!

A special idea again from you Brigitte. Fortunately I meanwhile know, that stupid Debbie is gone. What a stress it must have been for all in your area. For everyone who has to cleaning up, much strength with everything Debbie has left. And a cargo hugs too.

lol, your son. You have a debbie in your life who you'd like to avoid? We all have people like that...One of the things that makes your art 'yours' is that you take common sights and you find a powerful design in them, and then present them as a bold statement. This is just a common water funnel, from a drain (and yes, it's going the 'other way' compared to the northern hemisphere---thanks to Jock for pointing that out). Yet you have a way with light, angle, hues, crops, whatever's required, of making it into a big bold statement. A Presence. On top of the clarity of the funnel, the hues are so strongly defined. And you cropped it so the funnel-entry is at the top, after which we have a lonnnnnng descent down to get to the bottom: You make this a 'descent'. And the bottom has those little bulges, like it's the start of another journey. (And you have long lines---probably light lines---in the same direction as the tall shadow---which emphasize the descent as well. A really fine Brigitte shot, and I like what you wrote too. This could be a depiction of the chakra path---we enter at the surface and funnel down; and the chain keeps going along. Love this upload.

almost abstract. don't feel any damage may come from the vortex with such a color. most inviting for plunging in. great work, Brit!
