Description
Two 1864/65 photos show a railway car-mounted gun that is likely the one requested by Robert E. Lee to defend Richmond in 1862, although that attribution is disputed. A caption indicates the photos were from the siege of Petersburg, Virginia. (See the photos here: https://markerhunter.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/railway-arty-savage-station/.) This image reproduces one of those photos.
The gun car is my interpretation of the Lee-Brooke Railway Car. The soldiers are M4 with Shenandoah Confederate uniforms and joequick's trenchcoat. The environment is from DryJack's Railway Cutting populated with RDNA Shrubs, and Flink's grass and one of his conifers. The sky is one of my own photos and the finches are from Hivewire 3D's Flock Formations.
The scene was composed and rendered in Poser 11 Pro with post work in Corel Photo Paint.

So, it was captured. Nice that there are 2 photos of it. Good job using the photos to create the gun. Keep up the good work! :-) This sure presaged the armored trains of WWI and WWII. :-)
