Description
Two 1864/65 photos show a railway car-mounted gun that is likely the one requested by Robert E. Lee to defend Richmond in 1862. (See the photos here: https://markerhunter.wordpress.com/2012/06/29/railway-arty-savage-station/.) This image reproduces the second of those photos, with the addition of the photographer in the frame.
The gun car is my interpretation of the Lee-Brooke Railway Car. The soldiers are M4 with Shenandoah Confederate uniforms. The black soldier – he's in the original photo – is Jerome from DAZ. The civilian in the background is M4 in the Shenandoah Conscript outfit and the photographer is M4 in the Wanted Dead or Alive outfit wearing one of Rhi's Hatz. The Vintage Camera is from RDNA. The wagon in the background is the Light Army Field Wagon from Papus3D, with a custom top. The environment is built from DryJack's Railway Cutting. The flora include the Maple Tree Pack and Orestes Trees from DAZ, some Poser billboard trees, and some RDNA Shrubs. The sky is one of my own photos. The finches are from Hivewire 3D's Flock Formations and Zoe (the photographer's cat?) is forever the Millennium Cat.
The scene was composed and rendered in Poser 11 Pro with post work in Corel Photo Paint.
Jerome from DAZ, wanted dead or alive

Interesting render!

Nice job! You've even included the cart for the photographer, his assistant and the cat! We also see here how well the side protection was for the gun crew. I wonder if they ever came to use, or were captured before they could fire a shot. The drawback was the gun could only aim forwards, making it easy to attack from the side or rear. Thanks for the web address. Keep up the good work! :-)

Fine attention to detail. The photographer is a great touch.
