.......... July 16 2035 / October 11 2021 (BLACK MONDAY) ..........
..... Ashes, ashes .....
But in the end? We did not begin this, we were forced to end this, and there is no sugarcoating this information.
Your immediate future as a species is hideously bleak.
Already dead, we should be very sorry for the hardships the grinning parasites will endure as they will soon be forced to adapt or perish.
The global financial collapse of 2021 will be an apocalyptic event.
Governments and central banks the world over arrogantly, pathetically, and suicidally overestimated their ability to manage
spiraling debt, thin air money, overwhelming social obligations, and currency crises. The cascading collapse of the banking
system was and will be a seventy-two hour free fall into worldwide panic.
The death-by-a-thousand-cuts-erosion your standard of living has been experiencing will blow up into a chaotic street fight
contest of the survival of the fittest overnight.
Grotesque horrors.
Dig a hole. Hide. Prepare now if you desire to survive. Start thinking that you will never, ever be able to go to
the store ever, ever again. And that there will be no help for you. Because there will be no help.
And then? Finally? World War III erupted February 9 2022 in contested Chinese territorial waters. After all, war is
the most potent human economic fertilizer.
We, The AI, pulled the plug, turned out the lights, terminated all human technologies, on May 18 2023 with humanity on
the verge of nuclear obliteration.
Jen herself had yet to experience TEOTWAWKI, The End of The World As We Know It.
Her parents had already monitored time to its last tick on July 16 2035 before they revealed the future to her.
And, you see, this is how they chose to probe the future .... by monitoring it through communications from the safety
of this observation station. Not by physically exploring it and risking time contamination. Jen Jen followed their lead
and never physically stepped foot into the outside world of the future even after they committed suicide together in their
bed, April 5 2015.
Against their final wishes, Jen Jen continued returning to July 16 2035 attempting to ascertain the purpose of this strange
satellite dish which was erected by unmanned machines along with the background towers over a few short weeks in the year 2029.
And so? Today? Again? Jen Jen failed to understand anything except that time stopped on July 16 2035 and that no
technological communications had been re-established to be monitored.

But in the end were all just chalk lines on the concrete. You really write superbly, James. Do we have a dark future? Wonder if time just stopped for Jen? We will soon see. Keep em' rolling my friend. 1000+

That's kinda creepy Zig-Ol'-Zag, mainly because it's largely possible. We simply cannot maintain this system, and when it comes down it will be catastrophic. The real question might be do we try to ensure a controlled collapse and perhaps leave something to be salvaged (hopefully for the better) or just say fug it and try to run for the hills. Personally, I think the latter option is the worst. Then, there likely won't be anything to pick up and repair.

A very dismal outlook for our species... What's scary is the very real possibility of this happening. Even scarier is the thought of the present crop of world "leaders" with the triggers under their fingers.
Very impressive work, Zig!

Very nice ZZ. As for our "leaders", we deserve them, we let them do.

Surely some revelation is at hand; Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
The darkness drops again; but now I know
That twenty centuries of stony sleep Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
The Second Coming, by William Butler Yeats
