Description
Last night, I looked for silly shots, in response to Rod's terrific "April Silliness" (here). I'm a big fan of silly portraits.
But! As I didn't like my post, I added some pics to it and screwed the whole thing up! (I got your comments---thank you! They didn't fall into the void...)
So here's my revision. Not too silly, but they'll do...
1 and 2 are me in grad school years. My then-girlfriend referred to this as my "axe-murderer phase".
The next: Same time--normal.
The "Groucho Marx" shot is a few years ago.
Next, in the camel hair coat: Me, recent, normal. (For comparison.)
The last: Same; slightly idiotic.
It's the best I could come up with. All my really dumb shots are gone...
I'm almost finished this time around (then it's back to work), I've luuuuved being in your galleries! Thanks for your terrific support, even for my weirder stuff--I appreciate it greatly!
Have a fine evening, all
Mark

Since your then girlfriend had said it, those top two photos are a bit on the 'creepy' side but still cool. All-in-all a great collection of photos over the years which is quite fantastic.

Lovely set of shots Mark I am sure you have loadz of stories that go along with the photos maybe some day I might hear a few BTW thanx for your time in my gallery I do hope your work brings you lots of happiness my friend!!

Why did all grad students of that era look like desperadoes? My husband has some shots like that. One of his brothers called him Jesse James. The rest of them show off your handsome cutie shots. Your do look a lot like Groucho with the additions but I like the silliness. Your selfies are a lot classier than most I've seen. Thanks for the repost!

Thanks for sharing all these great photos of you through the years, Mark. In the second one you kinda resemble John Belushi, maybe it's just me. The third you look like a NBC journalist. Enjoy the toying with some of them. They are super bro.

Madbat
Hmmm...you look like some of the nicer people I used to hang around with lol. And that last fellow there, I could get into some serious mischief with that dude heh heh.

........ "axe-murderer phase"........ Bwaaaahahahahaha! Absolutely priceless! I love these photos of you, Mark! You just look like someone I'd like to hang out with - and yeah, I'm on board with Madbat..... I can just see the three of us running around raising hell, and giggling like high-school kids! I'm so glad I never grew up! LOL
"Now, see what you started...?" Heh heh heh.....

I love the look on your face in the camel hair coat shot

Well, the first two look like they could be candidates for the no-fly list (I have similar photos of myself at that age, so no offense intended, Mark). The commonality of the others is that great smile which communicates your joie de vivre so well...

OK, here's my take:
Unfortunately I can't participate in this since I've had maybe six photos of me taken in the last fifty years.

To see a happy face of yours is always a treat. And I had the joy to see some of them already. The first, well you canยดt blame people thinking about a Mugshot from the police :) Yet, your eyes look too innocent. The second, A typical boheme or flower power guy :) The third, WOW! That smile. What a charmer Love it!!! The fourth, HEHE! I remember that ahd i had a big laugh. Same today The fifth... Still a charmer. Love that beard too. :D The last. You just need a big Havanna cigar and then, HEY BOSS ! Thank you for all the smiled, I saw and all the miles I had on my face.

I think your girlfriend was right about the axe murderer phase. I may have seen you in a police lineup. :o)
3 is marvelous, so full of joy. The rest are pure Mark at his silly best. You are a delight, my friend. Love seeing these.

I love these shots of you and your past. If I weren't so tired, I could probably come up with some terribly witty comment but "great fotos" will have to do tonight!!

Wowza, a police lineup and/or rogue's gallery of fotos depicting you at various stages of age. Love it. Some of them resemble wanted posters or selfies. And you look drastically different from pic to pic. I didn't know you had been a chauffeur. I see a Rembrandt painting in some. Super light and shadow effects run through the whole assortment.
