Description

Tomorrow is Claude's birthday (photosynthesis). I won't be able to be here till late, so I'm posting this a day early. I'm posting 3 shots, because my photography doesn't match his: He does things with the camera and postwork that I don't come close to. So may 3 stand for 1 of his! (I'll say more in the last shot.) Big shots...please zoom. 1. Lake Michigan, near home ------------------------------------

Wow, thanks Mark. I love this one - the way those super-long shadows radiate out from a point just to the right of center, with those two blinding reflections of sunlight off the tables. I'm also enjoying picturing you sneaking into this seemingly deserted bistro after hours to take this photo...

Beautiful composition with this shot! love how the light streams in and bounces off the table - providing a focal point before sending us out to the lake! Great dedication

I love the light, shadow and color in this shot. All the shadows point "out there", to the great beyond. Probably some place just outside Seattle.

absolutely fascinating atmosphere, it seems a game between absence of human peoples and presence of emotive remembering of past presences !!

You both do fabulous art with your photos in each your own way. So much better is it to see both :) I love this warm photo of an abandoned bistro :) The sun had great importance in this beautiful shot.

I love the fact you left the bloke in frame on the far left, increases the sense of loneliness.

What a fabulous and artistic caught of the light here, Mark. It's a lovely image for Claude, with a wonderful sight, as depth.

The sun playing on the tables is most precious. Love the perspective via shadows and POV that exposes the geometry of the place so well.
