Awww...SO cute! I have my Kitty, so I know what having a young animal is like. I wonder why there is on Content Advisory warning for cuteness factor on the upload page? This certainly merits it! Keep up the good work. I'm sure we'll see more of CC! :-)

You got CeeCee near my birthday, which was a particularly difficult time because of my sister's illness (which she's only now finally coming out of), and a lot of fatigue. And I remember feeling like your discovering CeeCee was even a signal that things were going to be ok for others you knew, as well as (above all) for you. It was one of those moments that seemed to spill even into my life, even though I didn't get the dog. And I fully understand the experience of her 'choosing' you: It happens with some pets, and it's totally right when it does. (I have a friend who came to her door, one day, and saw an injured cat sitting there waiting for her. She'd never seen the cat before, but she knew, right then, that the cat had "chosen" her: It hadn't gone to anyone else's home, and there were lots of people in the neighborhood. So she took the cat in, and they became family ever since.)
And I know how a dog can bring a whole new world of joy to one's home. It's wonderful that she chose you, esp after the losses you'd had.
As for her breeds...I'm trying very hard to see a corgi in her (I'm really trying!) and a doxie too! But that may be because I'm not looking right, and I don't own dogs now. But it could also be that she is so unique that she's turned the corgi-doxie blend into something much bigger than the sum of the 2 parts. If she could talk, maybe she'd say, "babe, I'm a whole new dog over here...make room..." She's gorgeous.
Your treatment of her photo is beautiful. You soften, bring out various lines, make it a painting in various places, modulate the hues, etc. It isn't as dramatic as your flower work, and that's fine: You want CeeCee's delicacy to shine through. (I don't know how she'd react if you made her into one of your cosmic 'creation-of-the-universe' pieces: Maybe when she gets a little older and has seen enough of your work to want to be 'in' it. Right now, this is perfect.) Great pose, very puppy-like; and she appears (through your photo as well as through your work on it) to be both giving and inviting, a complete gesture of communion. It's love. And your background is simple, with beautiful early-late-day pinks, and just right for her. She stands out from it, and it embraces her.
Wonderful treatment, and a great new member of your family. I hope you and CeeCee have many long years of wonder and joy together. You deserve her, and she couldn't have come at a better time.

Mark, thanks so much for your delightful comment about CeeCee. She is a sweetie, and like you, I don't see any corgi or doxie in her, but she is all joy and fun, and love, so who cares. And she came at just the right time, as my love holes were getting mighty empty. Now they are filled with a warm fuzzy who brings smiles every day.
