Description

Please zoom (the colors are sharper). Maybe a bit intense, but a beautiful day on one of Chicago's most beautiful streets, Astor Street. Just my way of sending light and love to you all. Thanks for coming by, it's more special than you know. I'll finish commenting later today. Have a fine Thursday! ----------------------

I love this sort of intense! Nature's colors in the springtime are so special...lighter, warmer, more vivid. They catch out attention to wake us up from the winter blahs. You've seen it and presented it perfectly. And then on top of that, you've added some shiny cars to your composition...doesn't anybody drive a dirty car in Chicago? Reflections and sparkles...Ahhhhh. Nicely done Mark. So you!

How colorful and sunny photo! looks like a very cosy street in a big town. And yes, the spring colors are just warmer in toning, almost like early autumn.

First impression; very flamboyant, is it in show business? I agree with the others about the colors and the intensity. The tree and its neighbors combine to make a vibrant and beautiful sight. The tree seems to be leaning one way which seems to be confirmed by the street sign behind it.

a pretty tree spreading life and light along the street. I like the way the reflection in the cars shed the light back, too. the cars somehow seem softened by the living tree.

Dang - this is just exploding with colors, Mark! What an amazing photo, my friend! One never thinks of this kind of clean, vibrant color when Chicago is mentioned. You should be shooting for the Chicago Tourist Bureau! This is lovely!

With reference to the previous image it seems to propose the motivation of the attraction for the City, the shining lance of the lyce that exalts urban colors .... but is it a trap?

This is one of the reasons I love Chicago so much. Well, that, and the fact that both times I've been there it's been in the low 70s and sunny with no wind! This beautiful scene is a lovely reminder of the day you, Marilyn and I walked all over the Near North Side. That was one of the most memorable days of my life! SUCH fun! (Did I thank you for that? If I haven't thanked you at least once or twice a year since then, I've been remiss. That really was a spectacular day.)

That's what I like about City Councils, when they include, with their foresight and planning stages of creating Urban jungles, something green, something that comes to life with each season of the year... and you couldn't have picked a better example than this illustrated, colour popping image, to sell your famous City to me, thanks Mark ! it's intoxicating 😋- even the parked cars seem to smile with the reflections of such striking beauty...

Such beauty and color in the city, it is the star that steals the show from everything else. Somehow nature always wins. Beautiful shot.

Mark, I absolutely ADORE this shot. The colors, the light, clarity, the composition. All about it. Hope some day, you will go back to photographing again. Or maybe just a week per month. Wow! you are brilliant at this.
