Description
Queen Zlata learns about Spam:
Director Upp was very nice and sent a complete office set-up to Fae Valley so the queen could keep up on what was happening outside Fae Valley. While a very secure connection was established, she soon found about the wonderful Spam that pervades us all. Larura is behind the queen and Kaylu is sitting in the chair. All three have drawn their wings in due to the chair design. As a side note, these two are also nieces of the Queen
Let's listen in:
"Okay Auntie Zlata, just type in your password and you'll get to see any emails you might have" Larura said.
"Okay, here's goes," Zlata spoke hesitantly. typing on the keyboard. She looked at the screen and saw that she had about 20 emails in her folder; some were from her niece, Kinnie. There was one from Director Upp. She looked at the page on the screen. "I thought Spam was something humans ate. Why do I have a folder for spam?"
Larura chuckled, "In this case, Spam is junk email. Usually just odd ads that try to trick you into clicking on their links so they can get your personal information or bombard you with even more ads. That's all."
Zlata clicked on the folder and peered at the screen. Her eyes grew wide as she read some of the titles of the emails.
"Why do I need bigger boobs?" she asked, looking down at her chest. "I like mine the way they are!"
Kaylu laughed, "It's just that some human women are self-conscience of their breast size and so these people try to capitalize on their insecurities."
"A car loan? I don't want to buy a car!"
"Meet new men? No way!"
As Zlata is reading, she's busy clicking the delete icon.
"Home insurance? No, I don't think so!"
"Have my fortune read?"
"Greeting from Nigeria? I don't know anyone in Nigeria What could they possibly want?" Clicking open the email.
"Greetings, I represent a wealthy business man who needs to transfer his money to your account...."
"My account? What do I need money for? and why does he want to give his money to me?" leaning back in the chair, exasperated.
Larura spoke up, " that is an old scam that has been around for decades, trying to get people send money over to get money back. Playing on the greed of people, mainly."
"I see! and do they actually do this?" Zlata looked back at Larura! She nodded her head. "Yes they do! Even though they have been warned, some people still fall for it."
"Strange!" Zlata shook her head.
"Auntie Zlata, don't bother to read those, just select all of them and press delete" Kaylu spoke up.
"Ash and Oak! More Spam just showed up," Zlata cried. "does it ever end?"
"No, Auntie Zlata, it never ends" Larura stated sadly. "Your best bet is just to select all Spam and delete it."
"This is frustrating, I keep deleting the Spam and it just keeps coming.... I really need to thank Director Upp for this wonderful GIFT of this computer! Now let's see, what type of long distance spell can I use?"
"Auntie Zlata! Please don't do anything rash to the director" cried the twins. "Please? Remember, Kinnie is there and needs to be in good graces with the whole crew."
Kaylu spoke, "just log out of the email and just relax for a bit."

HAHAHAHAHA!!!! OMG, this is great! Poor Queen Zlata... First she gets chased around by skunks, and now she's dealing with SPAM... Perhaps she can use a few of those long-distance spells on the spammers... I for one would love to see all of them turned into garden slugs. Director Upp may have a few other goodies for her...
Now, all she needs is an introduction to YouTube....

I'll write you a longer comment when I come back, but I read this and loved it! It was great to see you write! I got one of those Nigerian bank scams---in physical mail, though---and I know all about thesm. Love how Zlata is counseled to not do anything rash; and your image is perfect for the piece. I'll comment more soon, but I had to acknowledge a tale from you! With dialogue! Great job, Mike.

Wonderful setup and story Mike.
Love the Queens expression== some spam is quite the eye full and hilarious at times. Others quite intriguing enough for the vulnerable to lose everything they have worked for and more. All of this is so sad and along with the telephone scammers many have committed suicide as well.
Thanks for the reminder Mike--- perhaps we should keep our loved ones and those we know are alone informed more often.
Just can't say enough --- these jerks make me want squash them like a banana then spit and stomp on them.
